Page Settings Guide
(On-Page Configuration & SEO Controls)
Overview
The Page Settings panel allows you to control key page-level configurations, including:
- Page titles and navigation labels
- SEO metadata
- Blog-specific settings
- Layout and indexing behavior
- Custom scripts and styling
This panel is especially powerful on blog pages, where additional publishing and categorization options are available.
Accessing Page Settings
- Log into your website
- Navigate to the page you want to edit
- Click Edit Page
- Click Page Settings (top toolbar)
This panel can be toggled open or closed as needed.
Section 1: Page Info
The Page Info section contains both informational and editable fields.
Read-Only Information
- Page ID (unique identifier)
- Date Created
- Created By
- Last Modified
- Modified By
Editable Fields
Navigation Title
- Controls how the page appears in the site navigation menu
Best Practice:
- Keep it short and user-friendly
Browser Title
- Appears in the browser tab
- Important for SEO
Best Practice:
- Include primary keyword + location (if applicable)
- Keep under ~60 characters
Phone Ad Tracking Number
- Used for landing pages
- Enables call tracking for campaigns
Page Layout
- Allows you to switch between available page templates
Use Case:
- Changing page structure without rebuilding content
Sidebar Menu
- Assign a sidebar menu (if configured)
Do Not Index (No Index)
- Prevents the page from appearing in search engines
Use When:
- Internal pages
- Duplicate content
- Temporary landing pages
Section 2: Metadata (SEO)
This section controls how your page appears in search engines and social previews.
Meta Description
- Short description shown in Google results
Best Practice:
- 150–160 characters
- Include keywords naturally
- Make it compelling (improve click-through rate)
Meta Keywords
- Legacy SEO field (minimal impact today)
Note:
- Not critical for modern SEO, but can still be filled if desired
Social Share Image
- Image displayed when sharing the page on:
- Other platforms
Best Practice:
- Use a clean, branded image
- Recommended size: 1200 × 630 px
Section 3: SEO (Legacy Settings)
This section includes:
- Page Rank
- Frequency
Important:
- These settings are no longer significant for Google SEO
- Optional to configure
Section 4: Blog Settings (Blog Pages Only)
This section only appears when editing a blog post.
Publish Date
- Controls when the blog appears as published
Use Cases:
- Schedule future posts
- Backdate older content
Blog Category
- Assign the blog to a specific category
Author
- Set the content author
Tags
- Add keywords/topics to categorize content
Best Practice:
- Use relevant, consistent tags
- Avoid over-tagging
Auto Release (Scheduling)
- Automatically publish the blog at a future date
Blog Preview Image
- Image shown in:
- Blog listing pages
- Previews
Section 5: JavaScript (Advanced)
Allows you to add custom JavaScript to the page.
Warning:
- Incorrect code can break the page or site
Only use if:
- You understand JavaScript
- You are adding verified scripts (tracking, embeds, etc.)
Section 6: CSS (Page-Level Styling)
This feature allows custom styling on a per-page basis.
Capabilities:
- Add CSS classes or IDs
- Apply custom styles to this page only
Use Cases:
- Custom layouts
- Styling overrides
- One-off design adjustments
Section 7: Featured Image
Controls the main image displayed on the page.
Behavior:
- Typically appears at the top of the page
- If not set:
- A default image will be used

- Use high-quality, relevant images
- Maintain consistency across pages
